Even if Oscar nominees in the top categories — Best Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress and Best Director — don't win at this year's , they will still go home with a prize. Every actor nominated will get a gift bag worth at least six figures.
While the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences discontinued the official gift bags over a decade ago, a marketing company called picked up the slack, putting together its so-called "Everyone Wins" Nominee Gift Bags for 15 years.
The company creates similar bags for other events like the Grammys, the Latin Grammys, the Tony Awards, the Kids' Choice Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the MTV Movie Awards and the Academy of Country Music Awards.
Last year's bag, which had a (they're not putting a price tag on this year's loot), included a lifetime supply of Pu-erh Tea Nourishing Cream and Pu-erh Tea Cleansing Bar valued at $31,200.
This year, the travel perks include: a week at the Golden Door Spa Retreat, three nights in a suite at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria in Sorrento, a three-night stay at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como (above) and the private use of a mansion for three days at the Lost Coast Ranch in Northern California.
If traveling doesn't strike their fancy, nominees like Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Meryl Streep might like other items in the bag such as a Haze Dual V3 Vaporizer, "naturally non-browning and non-GMO Project verified Opal Apples," "advanced dual-layer pillows" from Casper and a 10-year supply of Oxygenetix Breathable Foundation and Moisturizer.
