Over at Julianne Moore's place, real life reigns: tricycle in the entrance hall, vacuum cleaner roaring, her baby being coddled in the kitchen. And when the star from Far From Heaven and The Hours sets down a drink on the George Nakashima coffee table, brace yourself. She doesn't use a coaster. "Nakashima wanted people to really live with his pieces," says the award-winning redhead, radiant in blue jeans and a sweatshirt. "When I bought this table, I had an oil-and-wax finish put on it. But after a couple of months I sent it back and said, 'Oh go ahead and polyurethane it.' "
