Adelaide Cottage was originally built for Queen Adelaide, the wife of King William IV, in 1831, using building materials from the Royal Lodge, The royal retreat has been used by a number of monarchs: the cottage for breakfast or tea. The cottage underwent a renovation in 2015 and has some seriously elaborate decorations, The master bedroom at the cottage reportedly has a ceiling covered with gilded dolphins and a rope decoration, which is originally from a royal yacht from the 19th century. It also has a marble Graeco-Egyptian fireplace.

Harry and Meghan currently live in Nottingham Cottage, which is on the grounds of Kensington Palace. Nottingham Cottage, which is often referred to as "Nott Cott," is a cozy two-bedroom home where Prince Harry famously proposed while the couple was "roasting a chicken." Kensington Palace has not yet confirmed that Harry and Meghan are moving into Adelaide Cottage, but it would no doubt make a great home for the newlyweds!
