Living in a castle has always seemed like the stuff of dreams, but now it could become a reality for one lucky (and very rich) person. A 35,000 square foot mansion fashioned to look like a true Medieval castle just hit the market in Woodstock, Connecticut with an asking price of $45 million, according to . The castle was built by Chris Mack, the great-grandson of a Chicago steel-tycoon, and includes everything you would expect in palace living, including a turret, moat, 30-acre lake, pool and massage rooms. The property even housed a petting zoo at one point complete with exotic animals.
The castle includes 75 acres of land, though Mack, who owns 354 acres around the home, would be willing to sell more land for the right price. And although the 8 bedroom, 8.5 bath property requires a staff of 10 for up-keep, the new owners will have to go about staffing the property on their own. Get a sneak peek inside the palatial estate below, and let us know, would you ever actually want to live in a castle?
