Actress Uta Hagen, who originated the role of Martha in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, convinced him to buy it as a summer home, Jakob Holder, executive director of the Edward F. Albee Foundation, told the Journal. (The Foundation currently owns the property, where it hosts artists' and writers' residencies.)
If it achieves its asking price, the estate will be one of the most expensive homes ever sold in Montauk.
