Media power couple Tina Brown and Harold Evans have sold their New York City co-cop, located at 447 East 57th Street, for $6.6 million in an off-market deal. City property records cite Chilean billionaire as the buyer. The classically designed triplex is complete with five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, a powder room, and a private outdoor garden, where Brown's glamorous parties were held. The triplex is 6,000 square feet and features five bedrooms.
The couple moved into the home in 1996.
It features a large foyer and winding staircase.
The unit is just one of 23 apartments in the tony building.
Among the apartment's standout features are high ceilings and two wood-burning fireplaces.
Another highlight of the property is its 20-foot-by-65-foot private outdoor garden, which Brown, a former Vanity Fair editor, used for star-studded parties.
It was designed by famed Sicilian architect Rosario Candela.
