PPG Paints just designated Night Watch, a rich green hue, as the go-to paint color for 2019. If you need inspiration on the best ways to incorporate the shade into your home, look no further than HGTV's newest star, Jasmine Roth. The Southern California-based designer is recognized for transforming homes for families on the hit show, as well as designing Instagram-worthy spaces with her company, . From a front door to a custom murphy bed, Roth shares eight examples of how she used Night Watch on "Hidden Potential."
Roth suggests choosing a front door color that matches your personality. "This family is young and fun, but also wanted a sophisticated front door color that could easily change seasons with the house," Roth said. "This front door is the perfect example of a color trend that's here to stay."

For a moody vibe, Jasmine chose Night Watch for the walls of a hidden speakeasy. "The rest of the house is bright and cheery, so I wanted to feel completely transported upon entering this room," she said. "It worked! By adding contrasting white and metallic paper on the adjacent wall, it made this color pop even more."
Why have a boring pantry door when you can go for something more beautiful? For a "new vintage" feel, which Roth describes as "taking an item that is brand new but making it feel vintage," the designer paired the rich color with glass hardware.
A great way to add dimension to a room is through velvet curtains. "I love using a heavy texture and a dark color in the same room, which pairs perfectly when trying to make a statement," Roth said. To complete the space, the designer added a from her shop, The Warehouse.

Roth set this house apart by using the rich color to paint the custom shutters and planter box. "It immediately draws the eye to the front of the home and ties it in with the new landscaping," she said. "I love using blues and greens in the front yard because it feels like an extension of the front yard. Everything feels alive!"
If you're more on the adventurous side, Roth suggests using Night Watch to enhance a murphy bed. "I took a modern approach to the standard green chalkboards of our childhood, leading me to this beautiful rich green color," she said. "This chalkboard is the bottom of a murphy bed, making this not only a beautiful message board, but a multifunctional piece of furniture. Any time a piece of furniture can do double-duty, I see that as major win."
Along with bedrooms, closets are another great spot to experiment with the deep green color. "When taking this under-the-stairs coat closet and converting it into a kid's cave, I knew it wasn't complete without a dutch door painted in this beautiful color. In this case, it's the same color as the front door of the house. I wanted this door to stand out for the kids, but still feel like a calm design for the adults."
And don't forget the pets! "This custom dog bed was the perfect way to add some color in an unused area under the stairs. I love creating unforgettable spaces in forgettable parts of a home. It's clever and beautiful."
