Designer Cocktail: The Tuxedo #2 Martini

The bar manager of Flora creates a drink inspired by the iconic Marcel Breuer building.

If the beautiful paintings on exhibition at "" don't inspire you to spend more time in the buff this summer, the sweltering heat of New York City just might.

In advance of the highly-anticipated show opening on July 3 at the Met Breuer (and on through October 7), I created the Tuxedo #2 cocktail inspired by the iconic Marcel Breuer building that houses it. To me, nothing says Upper East Side like a martini, a drink so reliably cool and elegant, I couldn't resist.

Tuxedo #2
2 1/4 oz. Plymouth gin
3/4 oz. Dolin dry gin
1/4 oz. maraschino
1/4 oz. cherry brandy
2 dashes orange bitters
Rinse glass with absinthe
Garnish with l
emon twist
