Iris Apfel Shares Her Best Packing Tip

There's no wrong way to pack a suitcase, but that doesn't stop everyone from having an opinion on the right way. Most people tend to follow one of two methods: You're either a roller, or you're a folder.

And then there's Iris Apfel. The bespectacled style icon simply belongs to the more is more camp.

“I don’t pack light,” . “That’s why I love to travel by ship...no luggage restrictions! I mean, if you have beautiful clothes you want to take them with you.”

Fortunately for the 95-year-old fashion enthusiast, who shows no signs of slowing down, she has already has a cruise on her calendar. Come September, Apfel will travel from Southampton in England to New York City on Cunard's Queen Mary 2 as part of Transatlantic Fashion Week.

Naturally, she's bringing along a wardrobe of chic separates for the journey.

"Elegant jackets are a great for formal occasions," she told the British publication. "I have a collection of elegant jackets that I pair with slim pants. And of course, accessories help create a variety of looks."

While aboard the ship, Apfel will host a Q+A session, but according to the Associated Press, style tips won't be on the agenda.

"Everybody should find her own way," she said. "I’m a great one for individuality. I don’t like trends. If you get to learn who you are and what you look like and what you can handle, you’ll know what to do."
