Quick, someone pass us a daiquiri.
Banana leaves have long been a design staple — most notably gracing the walls of the iconic Beverly Hills hotel — but there is a newcomer sprouting up on Pinterest boards, runways, and at decor stores this spring: Monstera leaves.
Monstera deliciosa is an evergreen tropical vine native to southern Mexico and Panama. Its nicknames include, Swiss Cheese Plant, Split Leaf Philodendron, and Hurricane Plant. It's unclear why it’s called the hurricane plant, but what is clear is that these leaves look fabulous in every part of the home — from the wallpaper in the bathroom to the centerpieces on the dinner table.
Shop the pieces below to get in on the trend and imbue some tropical flair into your life and your home.
